Service · EDI first, AI on top

AI for 3PL EDI operations

Your EDI already tells you what went wrong. The 997s, the 824s, the 945 that never went out. Someone just has to read it all before the deduction shows up.

Most 3PLs find EDI problems the expensive way: a brand asks where its 945 is, or a chargeback lands weeks later with backup attached. The signs were there on the day. There's just more of it than one person can read every morning. We set up checks on the EDI you already run, so it gets read.

Where the checks sit

Checked before it leaves. Sorted when it comes back.

  1. 01WMSThe load closes

Cartons, SSCCs and quantities are final.

  2. 02Held if wrongCheckBefore it sends

The 856 is compared with the load, the PO and the ship-to.

  3. 03856To the retailer

Sent once it matches the load.

  4. 04997 · 824Sorted by cause

Rejects grouped: map, item data, timing, or the partner's side.

What we set up

  1. ASN check before it sends

Each 856 is compared with the load scan before it goes out. If the cartons or SSCCs don't match, it waits for a person.

    856945

    before the chargeback
  2. Reject sorting

997s, 999s and 824s land in one list, grouped by cause. AI reads the free-text notes. You get a next step for each group.

  3. First read of a new spec

AI marks where a partner's guide differs from your current maps. Taimoor checks every flag before anything is built.

  4. 945 vs WMS match

What shipped, matched daily to the 945s sent and the 997s back. Short ships, splits and cancels get explained, not just flagged.

Who does what

Rules, AI, and a person.

Plain rules

Anything with a right answer

Carton counts, SSCC matches, a missing 945, a 997 that never came back.

AI

The messy reading

824 notes, 80-page specs, chargeback backup, and spotting that ten rejects are really one problem.

A person

Every change

Map fixes, resends and anything sent to a partner. Nothing changes on its own.

What you get

  • A daily exception list your team can work through
  • The rules written down for each partner, in plain English
  • Someone who fixes what gets flagged, at the source
  • No new platform. It runs with your WMS and translator

We agree up front which tools see your files. Nothing goes to an AI service you haven't approved.

Example (illustrative, not a client result)

One PO ships on two trailers, but the 856 was built from the full order. The ASN lists 40 cartons, and the first trailer's load scan shows 24. The check holds it. The team sends one ASN per trailer, before either truck arrives.

What we need from you

A week of outbound 856s and 945s with the 997s and 824s that came back, a shipment export from your WMS, and the retailer guides for any partner that charges back.

Send us a week of rejects.

We'll sort them by cause with you on a free 30-minute review and show you which ones a check would have caught.
